| Social Activities in Syracuse |
Back |

Syracuse is made for walking, since the centre is relatively small and traffic is limited. Streets and squares are also social centres, and throughout the day you will encounter fellow students as they walk from one place to another, making for a convivial and vibrant social atmosphere. Syracuse is a seaport, and you will find the sea walls lined with cafés where students, travellers and locals gather to talk and to watch the sunset each evening. Syracuse hosts a rich program of shows, exhibitions and cultural events, and in the historic centre there is usually an event every weekend. The school organizes weekly activities: theatre, walks, visits to museums, dinners, weekend excursions to Taormina, Etna, Palermo, Aeolian Islands. For students interested in sports and adventures, the school will organize sailing, scuba diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, fishing, soccer and tennis. |
